About

Like most equine enthusiasts, be it professional or amateur, Lana's innate love for horses began at a very young age and has had a relentless hold on her.  While her main interest and talent lies in jumping and dressage she has been exposed to various disciplines, to include western reigning, western pleasure, saddle seat and park, and has a vast working knowledge.  At a very young age she took it upon herself to understand and ride any horse and rode up to 5 horses a day.  Her mother being an equestrian herself who has trained countless horses from the ground up has always been a guiding light for Lana in her starting of horses under saddle and more.  Since a young girl she has, at one point, had lessons and clinics from some of the top hunter jumper trainers in Texas.  She has been lucky to have trained with international riders as well in both dressage and show jumping.  In dressage she was an apprentice to Wolfgang May, had clinics from Karl Mikolka (head trainer of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna, Austria), clinics from Jeane Claude Racinet (world reknowned French Classical dressage), mutiple clinics in showjumping from Luis Guasch (Olympic Showjumper), and various other clinicians and well respected professionals.  She is constantly educating herself by enrolling in clinics, lessons, and reading literature from the world's best.

She has worked with countless "problem" horses and loves the challenge of getting the horse to understand his rider and become a willingly obedient, soft & supple, vivacious yet obedient horse.  The differences between each horse and being able to adapt and improve upon them makes each horse unique and fascinating to her.
